Our industry has seen a lot of
changes in these last few years...

For some, it's been challenging to adapt and sadly,
many health and nutrition coaches have moved on.

But we are TRULY needed now more than ever.

I'm Jill. And I've been at this for 19 years.

Do I have all the answers? No. But I've continued to maintain
a
very successful and lucrative practice, even in a
"slow" economy and even as a "controversial" and
very outspoken health freedom advocate.

This 7-week mentorship isn't going to be a wireframe or a "program." There will be no slides, just real, cards on the table discussion on how I continue to grow and succeed, even in a "down" economy and an upside down world.

This will be helpful whether you're just starting out or you've been at this a while and I will share resources with you after some of the modules.

I did this mentorship in the early fall of 2023 with an amazing group of coaches and got wonderful feedback. It's time to do it again.

Okay, does any of this sound familiar?

  • You know that you're meant to do this work, but you're stuck.
  • You've considered throwing in the towel, but the thought saddens you because you know you have so much to offer.
  • You don't know who to trust anymore...something feels off with the online holistic health community.
  • You're afraid you don't "know enough."
  • You're spending too much time looking at "the science" and "research" and then poof, it's 5:00pm.
  • You're tired of one-size-fits-all business growth programs that feel impersonal.
  • You're tired of business coaches telling you to "never" do this and "always" do that. And then someone else says the opposite. (I don't have anything against them, but I've never had a funnel. 😱)
  • You're sick of the advice to "never" do 1:1, private coaching...it's confusing because you're not sure you're ready to launch a group.
  • You're afraid that if you start a group class, only a few people will enroll, so you don't launch at all.
  • Your professional boundaries aren't tight and right because you have a heart to "help everyone."

"Jill, this has been the most helpful support I've gotten for my business.
You are so down to earth and real and it's clear that you care about others'
success. I've been all over the map with my practice, not sure where to point
myself and you've given me so much guidance. I'm empowered for the
first time in a long time and dare I say, excited to move forward.
I have direction. Thank you a million times." -
Michelle P., NY, NY

I'm going to share:

  • How I started out (in 2005) and what catapulted my practice starting in 2007, which has continued to serve me well
  • How stepping way out on the plank of health and medical freedom didn't cost mehow it was a huge boon to my business *
  • The myth and misdirection of “you can’t make it doing private coaching” (not true!)
  • How I ignore the negative and sabotaging mindset of “the economy sucks so people aren’t hiring health coaches” (not true!)
  • How I structure my private coaching programs
  • How I structure introductory sessions and why I have a high conversion rate after those conversations, even with a "healthy" program investment
  • How I protect myself from the tire-kickers
  • Why I gave up my (very lucrative) alopecia practice
  • How I’ve incorporated some groups/masterclasses into the mix
  • Who taught me how to structure masterclasses
  • Why you should never do free sessions or free classes
  • How to get paid for continuing education (read that again!)
  • How to keep client engagement high (engagement = results = client and coach satisfaction = great testimonials)
  • My passive income streams
  • How I've done little social and continue to grow
  • Why I'm glad when people unsubscribe from my newsletter
  • How and why I built a team, went solo again, built another small team, and went solo...again
  • Why content creation is critical and how to stand out in the crowd (including my opinion on AI)
  • Some big changes I've made in my personal finances that you can benefit from, too
  • How I've saved thousands (like, tens of thousands) in taxes with a simple restructure of my business and another strategy
  • The ins and outs of publishing a book, including an e-book (see more below)

    *
Anyone is welcome to join, of course, but if the topic of health and medical freedom makes you uncomfortable, this probably isn't the Mentorship for you. It's not like we're going to dwell on it, but it's going to come up as a huge part of my professional journey these last five years.

Let's drill down further...

  • How I handle labs for my clients and students
  • How I share functional (vs. conventional) lab reference ranges without diagnosing
  • The nutraceuticals I recommend and how I dispense them
  • Why you need an airtight client contract and Bill of Rights
  • The meaning of perceived value and alleviating resentment in your coach/client relationships
  • My tech stack
  • The components needed to create professional opt-ins, e-books, e-guides, handouts
  • How to keep people engaged with a longform post/article...it's also not true that "everyone" has a short attention span

And, if you have a book in you...

My best-selling book, The Essential Thyroid Cookbook: Over 100 Nourishing Recipes for Thriving with Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's, was published in 2017 and continues to do very well. It was a best-seller in five Amazon categories on our pub date, even though we were relatively small cheeses and didn't have a huge following at the time.

Many have reached out over years to pick my brain on our publishing plan and how/why my co-author and I chose to self-publish. We left no stone unturned in making this decision. We got approached by a "big six" publisher out of the blue, so we know how they work.

We're going to talk about:

  • The pros and cons of self-publishing (the stigma of self-publishing vanished a few years ago)
  • The pros and cons of going with a publisher, including how "the big six" (and other publishers) work
  • Your intellectual property rights (or lack thereof)
  • The different types of editing (there are four major types)
  • Book design and layout
  • Printing (including print on demand), distribution, warehousing, all that stuff
  • Media kits, press releases
  • Ideal timing in publishing
  • The reasons why many authors don't have a best-seller out of the chute
  • What you need to know about creating a marketing and publishing plan that will
make all the difference in your launch
